

To Chase UtopiaIt was December, those lonely days between the 25th and 31st. I wandered the dreary city expecting to find something in nothing. Stores advertised after-Christmas deals, lights gleamed as if they could revive spirits we all lost as children, and all forms of transportation rushed by trying to save what would only be wasted. Wandering led me to one place every time, a Starbucks nearly hidden by numerous galleries and the El train's tracks. Those tracks scaled a street I was too familiar with and walking on it was the darkest stroll to be had in this city. For one constantly accused of searching for light, I ended up in dark places quiteTo Chase Utopia
